Hello! I am an accomplished Consultant Gynaecologist based in York, dedicated to delivering expert, personalised care tailored to each woman’s individual needs.

I graduated from the University of Manchester Medical School in 2015 and was awarded Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) in 2022. I was appointed as a substantive Consultant at York Teaching Hospital in 2023, and hold advanced RCOG ATSM qualifications in Benign Abdominal Surgery (open and laparoscopic) and Advanced Labour Ward Practice. I have further enhanced my expertise through completing the highly competetive OLYMPUS Advanced Laproscopic Training Programme, and have undergone additional BSGE accredited training in advanced surgical management of endometriosis and advanced operative hysteroscopy.   

My specialist interest lies in advanced minimally invasive (laparoscopic) surgery, and I am an expert in laparoscopic hysterectomy, particularly for complex cases. This includes women with large fibroids, raised BMI, or significant adhesions—situations where open surgery has traditionally been considered the only option. I am frequently referred complex cases by consultant colleagues for laparoscopic management, with a focus on optimal outcomes and faster recovery.

Alongside my clinical work, I hold senior leadership and educational roles within the NHS. I lead the clinical governance team for the department and serve as Deputy Lead for Gynaecological Cancer. I am an educational supervisor and actively train senior registrars in advanced operative hysteroscopy and complex laparoscopic surgery. I also mentor consultant colleagues developing specialist surgical skills. My work is regularly presented at national conferences, contributing to the ongoing evolution of gynaecological care.

My approach centres on clear communication, trust, and continuity of care. I believe that excellent outcomes are built not only on surgical expertise, but on ensuring patients feel fully informed, supported, and confident throughout their treatment journey.

Outside of clinical practice, I enjoy an active family life with my three young children. In my spare time, I am passionate about mountain biking, travel, and motorsport.
